My name is Devin.
Dr. Ericson at Abbeville Dentistry provided care that is below basic dental standards, and I believe they were unethical with how they handled it.
Specifically, I believe after the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) found the care failed to meet basic dental standards on multiple fronts and that Dr. Ericson deliberately withheld my medical records from me, Abbeville Dentistry or Dr. Ericson should have helped me correct their mistakes instead of hiring a law firm to prevent both corrective actions and me from receiving my medical records.
I am sharing with you, just to encourage you lookup your dentist. I hope it doesn‘t happen to you, but I am sure the others that had to file with the TSBDE felt the same way. This is why I do not understand if there was a history of Dr. Ericson not meeting basic dental standards, Abbeville Dentistry would not provide the oversight to prevent it. However, Abbeville Dentistry also did not provide my medical records nor did they provide or help me with the retreatments needed from the substandard care provided by their dentist.

This is my grievance letter, it shows my reasoning:

Here is my demand letter:
https://www.bsdentist.com/s/Original-Intent-to-Sue.pdf
(This is me saying “you are giving me no choice but to sue you since you won’t help me.” I wanted an apology, and my corrective expenses covered, and for them to help me figure out the remainder of the pain.)
Here is my lawsuit:
https://www.bsdentist.com/s/AbbevilleDentistry_Ericson_Civil_To_Share.pdf
(I did not hire a lawyer, as this would have cost me thousands more, and I did not accept the offer from the lawyer who told me we would sue for “at least $50,000” as I wasn’t pushing for a money grab.)
This is how Abbeville Dentistry and Dr. Ericson stopped me from coming before the judge:
(Note they state, “No facts presented.” Yet, I only listed the TSBDE findings listed above as fact.

Note they reference the arbitration agreement they refuse to give me a copy of. Nor did they mention this when I sent the demand letter.)
I believe the only reason the Justice of the Peace “Dismissed Without Prejudice” was because I did not give them a full 60 days’ notice, as is required only for medical professions.
